Detailed review of my Tagliapasta order

I recently placed an order for a few items from Tagliapasta: specifically, the essiccatore per pasta, a tagliaravioli, and a pennello da cucina. The ordering process on their website was straightforward and intuitive; I had no issues finding what I wanted and checking out. Shipping took exactly seven days from order confirmation to delivery at my door, which was within their stated timeframe. All items were securely packed in a single box with sufficient padding. The pasta drying rack (essiccatore) is well-constructed and surprisingly stable, much better than some flimsier ones I've used. The tagliaravioli feels sturdy and cuts cleanly, though I did need to press a little harder than expected on my first try. The kitchen brush is just a simple, functional tool. I haven't needed customer support, so I can't comment on that, but the overall experience was positive and the products are exactly as advertised, high quality for making fresh pasta at home.

Got what I needed

Ordered a few things, mostly the raschietto per impasto and a basic rotella liscia. They came pretty quick, no fuss. Everything was as described on the website. Used them already and they work fine. Easy shopping experience, which is what I like.

Worth it with the discount

I was looking for a good asse per pasta and Tagliapasta had a newsletter sign-up discount for 10% off. That made the price much more appealing. Shipping was free because my order was over 100 euros, so that helped with the cost too. The board is solid and big, exactly what I needed. It felt like a good deal overall, definitely worth the money I spent after the savings.

Nice tools, slow delivery

I ordered a mattarello in legno and a stampo per ravioli from Tagliapasta. The quality of the wooden rolling pin was excellent, really smooth and sturdy. The ravioli mold works well too. My only minor issue was the shipping; it took a bit longer than I expected, about a week and a half to arrive. Customer service was polite when I inquired, but it still felt a little slow. Overall, I'm happy with the products though.

Love my new pasta tools!

Oh my goodness, I just received my order from Tagliapasta and I am so happy! I got the chitarra per pasta and it is absolutely beautiful, such great craftsmanship. I've already made my first batch of spaghetti with it and it was so much fun. The quality is just fantastic, feels very traditional. I can't wait to try more recipes. I'm definitely going to shop here again and tell all my friends who love cooking!

Fun stuff for pasta

Got a tagliaravioli and some farina for pasta. It's all good. Made ravioli with it last weekend and it was pretty easy. The cutter worked great, no issues. Came pretty quick too.

Good quality, minor shipping issue

I ordered a mattarello in legno and a rotella tagliapasta from Tagliapasta. The products themselves are really nice, felt sturdy and well-made, exactly what I expected for traditional pasta making. Shipping took a little longer than I thought, about a week and a half, but it did arrive safely. Customer service was helpful when I inquired about the delay, which was good. Overall happy with the purchase, just wish delivery was a bit quicker.

Detailed thoughts on my order

My order included a chitarra per pasta and a raschietto per impasto. Placing the order was straightforward on their website; it was easy to find what I wanted. They sent an email confirmation right away. The package arrived well-packed, no damage to the items. The chitarra is beautiful, the strings are tight and it feels very authentic. I tried it out and it makes perfect square spaghetti. The dough scraper is also good, very rigid for handling dough. I had a question about cleaning the chitarra and used their contact form; I got a reply within 24 hours which was helpful. Everything about the experience, from browsing to using the tools, was smooth. They even included a small card with care instructions for the wooden items. It's clear they care about their products.

Good value, first order

I was looking for some pasta tools and found Tagliapasta. They had a first-order discount which made a big difference. I got the tagliapasta in ottone and a rotella tagliapasta. The quality for the price felt really fair. I think I got good value for my money, especially with the discount.

What's the deal with payment methods? Can I use PayPal or is it just credit cards?

J Josh 1 month ago
I used PayPal last time, so yeah, that's an option. Pretty standard stuff.

Yep, PayPal works. I think they take most major credit cards too.

Does that 'first order' discount code work if I also want to get free shipping? Or can you only use one promo at a time?

T Troy T. 2 months ago
Nah, pretty sure you can only use one code. I tried to stack a coupon with free shipping once and it didn't work. Had to pick.

N Noor Lindqvist 2 months ago
Most places don't let you combine discounts. My guess is you gotta hit the 100 euro for free shipping or use a code for a percentage off.

Hey, thinking about grabbing one of their brass pasta cutters. Do these things actually last, or am I gonna have to replace it in a year?

S Sarah Bennett 2 months ago
Mine's been going strong for like three years now. Just clean it by hand, don't throw it in the dishwasher, and it's solid.

Yeah, they're pretty legit. I got a ravioli mold from them and it feels super sturdy, definitely not flimsy like some cheaper ones.

whats the deal with coupon codes? Can I stack a 'first order' discount with, say, a Black Friday one?

S Sophie 2 months ago
Nah, pretty sure they only let you use one code at a time. I tried combining a newsletter one with a sale and it didn't work.

Most places don't let you stack coupons, and I think Tagliapasta is the same. Usually it's either-or.

I'm looking at a tagliapasta vs a Marcato atlas machine. Is the manual Tagliapasta stuff really that much better or just for show?

E Elena L. 2 months ago
Completely different things. Tagliapasta is for traditional, manual pasta making, more artisanal. Marcato is more about consistent sheet pasta. Depends what you want to do.

If you want to feel like a nonna, go Tagliapasta. If you just want quick, uniform pasta, Marcato is probably easier. Both good but for different vibes.
